Corilla heading to Australia with Hot DesQ

G'day Australia, we're coming home. It's with sunny pride and excitement that we're able to announce that Corilla has been selected as part of the second round of Hot DesQ recipients.

Hot DesQ is an amazing program put together by the Queensland state government in Australia. It offers up to $100,000 in equity-free grant funding and six months of office space in one of the state's many coworking communities. And for Corilla, a chance to build out our team in amongst the community that supported us from the very start.

In early October we will be relocating the majority of Corilla's team to River City Labs in Brisbane. If you've been following along from the start, RCL has been an early part of that journey.

It's where we based when we spun out of Red Hat right up until we flew out to Paris to join the NUMA accelerator. And apparently it's levelled up since moving into the brand new startup precinct built by Advance Queensland. A brand new tech hub for the state and our new home base.

I'm sitting in a cold office in New York as I write this. My inbox is blowing up with messages from friends and community in Australia as the announcements go live and I can't help but have a thought or two about surfing at Burleigh Heads, rock climbing in the Glasshouse Mountains and the ubiquitous Aussie BBQ. It's been a while!

For our users and customers there's nothing changing under the hood. We've got all the major timezones covered for support, and the team is well used to timezone hopping by now. For any of our community in Australia, we'll be in touch directly for some community catch-ups. We'll bring the Timtams!
